What is P+ Gel Polish?
ButterCreams are a highly pigmented hard colour gel product that is completely unique to Light Elegance and has been brilliantly formulated for versatility with a 2-in-1 viscosity.
Apply super thin for opaque coverage or use for raised 3D art and easily paint smooth line work and details!
Is P+ Gel Polish HEMA free?
Yes! Like all Light Elegance gels, P+ is 100% HEMA-Monomer Free, as well as HPMA, HPA, HEA, IBOA and TPO free, for safer salon services.
P+ Gel Polish is responsibly formulated at Light Elegance Headquarters in Redmond, Oregon. It’s also Vegan, Cruelty-Free, and PETA approved.
How do I apply P+ Gel Polish?
1. Prep the nail following the LE Protocol for prep and apply P+ QDbase in a thin, even coat capping the free edge then cure 60 seconds.
2. Apply P+ Gel Polish in a thin, even layer over the entire nail plate.
3. Cap the free edge.
4. Cure for 60 seconds in a LED Lamp (LEDdot recommended) or 2 minutes in a UV Lamp.
5. If a more opaque appearance is desired, apply another P+ Gel Polish coat and cure as instructed.
6. Apply your P+ Top Coat of choice and cure 60 seconds.
How do I remove P+ Gel Polish?
For clients that want to completely remove their P+ Gel Polish, removal can be carried out with pure acetone for an easy 7-10 minute removal!
1. File through the P+ Top Coat until you begin filing into the color coat
2. Soak approximately 10 minutes in pure acetone soaked cotton balls and foil wraps
3. After properly soaking, P+ Gel Polish will easily peel away from the nail
The No-Soak Method can also be used with P+ Gel Polish for clients who like to have reapplication at each appointment.
What can I use under P+ Gel Polish?
For a traditional gel polish manicure, we recommend P+ QDbase for good adhesion and easy removal. If you need to increase adhesion, Airbond can be used prior to QDbase.
P+ Gel Polish can also be applied over JimmyGel Building Base Gel, Lexy Line Hard Gel, or any other nail enhancements, making it ideal for those who prefer brush-in-bottle colour application.
