Application Steps:

Materials Needed:

• P+ QD Base or Tack
• Clear JimmyGel
• BlinkTips™
• Airbond
• LEpro Cleanser and LEpro Cleansing Wipes
• LEpro Cuticle Pusher
• Optional - LE Zippy eFile with Z-Bits (for cuticle detailing)
• 100/180 Grit Lexy File or LE Perfect File
• 100/180 Grit Finish File
• LE FlashDot™ Curing Lamp
• LE LEDdot Lamp

Preparation:

1. Cleanse the natural nails thoroughly using LEpro Cleanser and LEpro Cleansing Wipes.
2. Gently push back nail folds with the LEpro Cuticle Pusher and remove cuticle tissue from the nail plate. For more precision, use the LE Zippy eFile with Z-Bits.
3. Prep the nails lightly with the 180 Grit side of a Lexy File or LE Perfect File. Cleanse nails again with LEpro Cleanser and LEpro Cleansing Wipes, removing any dust and debris.

BlinkTips™ Application:

1. Pre-measure the BlinkTips™ to fit the natural nails, adjusting as needed.
2. Cleanse the nails again and apply Airbond to the natural nail for increased adhesion.  Allow to air dry for 10-15 seconds.
3. Apply a thin, even layer of your chosen bonder.  For one-time wear and easy soak off use QDbase, or for long term wear use Tack. Cure for 60 seconds in the LEDdot lamp.
4. Flip each BlinkTip™ and etch the surface that will contact the natural nail using the tapered end of the 100 grit side of a Finish File, or the Shaper Z-Bit with Zippy eFile.  Cleanse to remove all dust.
5. Apply Tack sparingly to the etched surface. Do not cure this layer. Repeat for all 10 tips.
6. (Optional) Apply a thin coat of Clear JimmyGel to the nail, ensuring to cap the free edge. Avoid using excess gel to prevent overflow when applying the BlinkTip™.
7. Apply a small dollop of gel to the inside of the  BlinkTip™ at the base.
8. Position the base of the BlinkTip™ near the cuticle area of the natural nail and gently rock it down, allowing the JimmyGel to press toward the free edge.
9. While holding the BlinkTip™ in place, flash cure using the FlashDot™ curing lamp for 10 seconds.
10. Repeat the application and flash cure for each nail on one hand. After all five nails are applied, cure for 60 seconds in the LEDdot lamp. Then, repeat the steps on the other hand.

Key Points:

• Avoid excess pressure to prevent the JimmyGel from spilling out.
• By rocking the tip from the cuticle to the free edge, any extra gel should press out at the free edge. If too much gel is visible, this indicates over-application.

 

Final Cure and Finishing:

1. (Optional) Once all BlinkTips™ are applied and fully cured, blend the base of the tip to be completely flush with the natural nail.  This can be done with the 180 grit side of the Lexy File, Finish File or Perfect File; or using the Smoothie or Preppy Z-Bit with the Zippy eFile.
2. Apply Tack over the tips and cure for 60 seconds in the LEDdot lamp.
3. (Optional) For added strength, apply a thin layer of JimmyGel from cuticle to free edge and cure as above.
